2X State Champ Ronnie Ramirez to Oklahoma State

Published

on

Oklahoma State WrestlingThe hire of David Taylor at Oklahoma State is already paying off as they landed a top recruit in Ronnie Ramirez last week. The two-time California state champ from Walnut High School is currently ranked as the #28 wrestler in the class of 2025. He announced his decision on Instagram last week stating he’s excited to be a Cowboy and that he’s been dreaming of this since he was a kid.

In addition to his two California state titles, Ramirez also won Doc B and Reno this season and finished 3rd at Super 32. He was 5-2 at the U20 US Open with a victory over PIAA and National Prep champ Nate Desmond who beat him in the Super 32 quarterfinals this fall.

Ramirez is currently ranked #5 at 120 lbs. and will compete at 125 lbs. for Oklahoma State in the Fall of 2025.
