In the latest Intermat Wrestling high school rankings, Aaron Pico has jumped to #1 at 132 lbs. Last weekend the freshman phenom won the toughest tournament (The Ironman) in the country while defeating No. 4 Micah Jordan (St. Paris Graham, Ohio), 4-3 in the finals. The St. John Bosco High duo of Zahid Valencia and Aaron Pico proved to be among the top wrestlers in the nation last Saturday.
Valencia won the title at 113 pounds and Pico claimed the 132-pound championship at the Iron Man Tournament, the Ohio-based event that is considered by many the nation’s toughest tournament.
Anthony Valencia placed fourth at 138 pounds for the Braves, who finished seventh in the overall team standings.
