Class of 2016 – Rankings
Despite his loss last year in the quarter finals Israel Saavedra is still the top wrestler in the class of 2016. Saavedra had another outstanding performance after his loss and dominated in the consolation bracket and finished 3rd. He’ll be looking for his third state title this year and will be doing it at his new high school. A handful of others all finished among the podium as state placers last March. Julian Flores will be looking to defend his title from a year ago. A handful of wrestlers from this class have already verballed their college commitment.
