California High School Wrestling: College Recruiting Big Board Class of 2017

This very talented class will be looking to make another big splash this upcoming year. The top wrestler, Justin Mejia from Clovis, capped off another amazing 2016 season with his third CIF state championship. Mejia has decommitted from the University of Iowa but will be announcing his college of choice soon. Jaden Enriquez from Mission Oak high school will be hungry after ending his 2016 season by injury. Enriquez finished runner-up in 2015 as a Sophomore and will be looking for his third CIF medal. State Champion, Navonte Demison from Bakersfield, will look to defend his 2016 CIF State title and has already committed to wrestle at Arizona State.

    Correct, Emilio tore his ACL and had surgery and rehab. He’ll be back on the mat this year. Cool list by the way, I can remember many of these boys over the years when they were little guys. Good luck to everybody…

    Where was the little De la riva brother this year? Isn’t he gonna be a sophmore next year…

      Yes, little De La Riva from Folsom (SJS) will be a sophomore this season. He was injured all last season so he was unable to compete. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on him this year and he very well be among the top 15 in his class.
