Devan Turner Commits to Drexel

Devan Turner – Dixon HS

Junior Devan Turner of Dixon High School in the Sac-Joaquin Section as verbaled to wrestle for Drexel University in the Fall of 2016.

Turner is currently undefeated on the season at 120 lbs. So far he has won titles at the Peninsula Invite, Clovis West Shootout and was the Outstanding Wrestler at the Sierra Nevada Classic in Reno, NV over the Christmas break.

In 2014 he was a runner-up in the Sac-Joaquin Section and advanced to the quarterfinals of the CIF state tournament. Turner will become the fourth California wrestler to wrestle for Coach Matt Azevedo. Noel Blanco  from Arroyo HS and  Eric Ochoa from Northview HS are current members of the team and Clovis’ Isaiah Hokit (Class of 2015) also has committed to wrestle for Drexel next year.
