Jordan Aquino Signs with St. Cloud State
Head Coaches Adam Wight and Clint Birch, along with the Vacaville High School athletic department and the Aquino family, are pleased to announce that senior Jordan Aquino has signed a NCAA National Letter of Intent (NLI) on April 23 to wrestle for head coach Steve Costanzo and the St. Cloud State University Huskies. Aquino, a two time CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Champion and California State medalist, just completed his senior season as a Bulldog.
Coach Steve Costanzo has built the St. Cloud State wrestling program into a Division II wrestling power. After finishing in the top eight at the NCAAs for six consecutive seasons (2009-2014), with three straight runner-up finishes (2011-2013), St. Cloud State finally broke through this year and won the school’s first national championship in any sport. It was Costanzo’s second national championship as a coach. He guided Dana College to a national championship at the NAIA level in 2006 before taking over as head wrestling coach at St. Cloud State. Jordan is projected as a college 125 lber for the Huskies.
Jordan and his family are an important part of the Bulldog family, and we wish him the best of luck on the next phase of his academic and wrestling career. Below is a short summary of Jordan’s wrestling accomplishments.
