George Achica 3 X at Ca. State Meet. First place 11th grade 3rd place 12th grade. Started at U.S.C., All-American, drafted by the Baltimore Colts and L.A. Express. Played pro ball for 4 years. He blocked a game winning field goal attempt when U.S.C. beat U.C.L.A. in the closing seconds. Led Andrew Hill High School to a state championship in 1978.

Tommy Vardell for the Chicago Bears placed 5th in the state at 191 in 1987. Also, Alex Mack for the Browns was a champ or runner-up his senior year.

Always appreciate hearing about wrestlers, but this is another example of inaccurate data being published. Lorenzo Neal took 7th in the NCAA. He was a badass indeed, but he was not an NCAA champion.
