Poway Dominates Las Vegas Holiday Classic

Seventy-seven teams from eight states participated in the Las Vegas Holiday Classic including wrestlers from CA, NV, WA, CO, FL, AZ, UT, and LA.  The Poway A team won the tournament with a score of 274.5 ahead of Green Valley, NV by 42 points.  The Poway B team only had 7 wrestlers or half of a the fourteen man lineup and came in 11th in the tournament with125.5 points. Poway had four champions, one runner-up, and a total of fourteen medal winners.  The champions include Chase Zollmann, Scott Kiyono, Quentin Hovis, and Nathan Tausch.    Quinten Hovis won all six matches by pin and was named outstanding wrestler upper weights.
