2021 California Coaches Seminar
The Steiner Brothers and the Central Coast RTC have partnered to launched the California Coaches Seminar held in San Luis Obispo, CA. This annual event will bring the “who’s who” of wrestling every year to the beautiful Central Coast.
This year’s star-studded cast includes eleven world class presenters highlighted by 3X NCAA Champion Alex Dieringer, the recently crowned 6X World Champion Adeline Gray, US National Team Women’s Coach Terry Steiner, and Granby School of Wrestling’s Steve Martin, will come together to the Central Coast for a special weekend designed for coaches.
San Luis Obispo offers a great weekend getaway for coaches to enjoy family friendly activities including hiking, wine tasting, beaches, dining, and resorts. The Central Coast Regional Training Center will host the event at the state-of-the-art 13,000 sq ft Gymnazo, located at 720 Aerovista Place, Suite C, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. The Saturday evening social will take place across the street at SLO Brew Rock, one of the largest venues in San Luis Obispo with a 30-barrel brewhouse, canning line, tasting room, taproom restaurant, catering kitchen, and event space with extensive landscaping, casual outdoor seating and fire pits.
Online Streaming Option available
There will be an online virtual streaming option for coaches who cannot make the trek or can only make one day. The host gym is outfitted with high quality video streaming hardware and connectivity. By attending our seminar, you can earn 1.0 CEU credit. CEU Credits will go through Cuesta College. Please check with your district to make sure they will accept credit from Cuesta College. You will be provided with a link to pay for your CEU after registering for the CA Coaches Seminar.

2024 All-State Dual Meet Teams by Grade
The 2024 CIF State Wrestling Championships wrapped up in February, with the Poway boys seizing their fifth State title and setting a new all-time scoring record of 290.5 points. Buchanan claimed the runner-up spot with 255 points, while Gilroy secured third place with 206 points. Noteworthy achievements were marked as five boys earned the prestigious title of two-time State Champions. Among them were Ronnie Ramirez (120-pounds), representing Walnut as a junior; Daniel Zepeda (138-pounds), a junior from Gilroy; Brock Mantanona (150-pounds), a senior hailing from Palm Desert; Robert Platt (215-pounds), a senior from Poway; and Cody Merrill (285-pounds), a senior also from Gilroy. Adding to their accolades, all five wrestlers were honored with positions in the All-State Dual Teams by CalGrappler.
